UNL will again be celebrating International Education Week (IEW), now in its 15th year, with events held this Friday evening (a Taste of Africa) and every day next week: November 17–21. International Education week is a nationwide joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.
UNL will have a full week of events that support a diversity of cultures and promote education abroad opportunities and scholarships. Back again this year is my favorite IEW event: the International Food Bazaar (on Wednesday from 11-1 in the City Union), featuring great food from many of the countries represented in our student body.
With students, staff, and faculty from over 150 countries, research efforts on all 7 continents, and education abroad opportunities in over 45 countries, UNL continues to engage the world. Please join us in celebrating the richness that comes with such engagement.
