CEHS Dinner & Dialogue, Oct. 21.
CEHS Dinner & Dialogue, Oct. 21.

A re-imagined CEHS student research fair debuts on Friday, October 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the Nebraska Union on City Campus. Instead of the traditional conference format that has defined the event in the past, this year the event will consist of inter-departmental roundtable conversations followed by dinner. Roundtable conversations will revolve around one overarching question that is intended to transcend departmental boundaries: What does it mean to create, lead, access, nourish, develop, prepare, and/or commune in 2016?

The CEHS Student Dinner & Dialogue is an effort to promote dialogue across and among the seven CEHS departments. It is funded by the College and is offered at no cost to students and faculty. Registration is now open for attendees and presenters. The registration deadline is Oct. 7.

“There are so many amazing projects and ideas being explored in each area of the College of Education and Human Sciences,” said Lauren Gatti, assistant professor, Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education, "but we often imagine our work as distinct from that of our colleagues in different departments. So this CEHS student dinner and dialogue is an exciting effort to get conversations going between and among departments around the research and shared commitments that animate our important and collective work in CEHS."
