To continue conversations about improving teaching and learning at UNL, Academic Affairs is again sponsoring a Teaching and Learning Symposium around the themes of Motivation, Engagement, Innovation, and Evidence.

UNL's Professor of Educational Psychology Ken Kiewra, a nationally recognized expert on embedding the teaching of learning strategies in content instruction, is the keynote presenter. Attendees will be able to choose from concurrent sessions on related key topics:

• Improving and assessing student teamwork
• Teaching strategies for flexible and inflexible spaces
• Canvas pilot and migration
• Relationship between student motivation and engagement and student learning and classroom instruction
• Pedagogical strategies for teaching international students
• Best practices in course design
• Managing in-class dialogues
• Implementing Scholarship of Teaching and Learning projects
