Extension looking for summer help

Nebraska Extension is in need of an individual with a BS in education/youth development to be a summer front-line staff member delivering STEM content with Imagine Science in Omaha.

Also needed are 2-3 college interns to gain Extension experience (variety of tasks including teaching, events, etc.) in Douglas-Sarpy County in a Conservation Management Internship. Mentors will be paid $2,000 for their work, provided with a stipend for food, a rental car and accommodations throughout the program. In exchange, they are expected to mentor the youth in this two-week, hands on learning experience traveling across Nebraska from Cherry to Douglas Counties. At each of the stops along the way, mentors will connect with the organization (Games and Parks) staff who have planned activities for the youth to participate in.

Successful mentors will need to be comfortable with high school aged youth, comfortable driving, willing to role model, willing to get dirty and sweaty, and be the responsible adult in the room with these young people. Looking for both a male and a female, each of which would be working with three youth.
