Louise Pound Hall, formerly the College of Business Administration Building, is temporarily housing several programs in the College of Education and Human Sciences, including the City Campus Dean’s Office. The location changes are occurring in advance of constructing a new home for CEHS on City Campus.

In addition to many CEHS programs, Mabel Lee Hall at 14th and Vine streets, has been home for many years to the Nebraska Women’s Gymnastics training facility. A new gymnastics center is scheduled for completion in January 2020 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Mabel Lee Hall will be razed later in 2020, and a new CEHS building will be constructed in its place. State funding for construction of the building has been secured and design of the new building has been progressing. Design forums for faculty and staff have been scheduled on Nov. 28 and 29, with details to come later.

In addition to the CEHS Dean’s Office (LPH 211), Pound Hall is now housing the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies (LPH 205) and the CEHS Business Center (LPH 231). The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools and staff from CEHS Information Technology hope to move to Pound Hall sometime in November. All of these offices were previously located in Mabel Lee Hall.
