Scott Wilson, CEHS Alum, won the Award of Excellence presented by the Nebraska Department of Education. Wilson is a history teacher at Omaha Central High School. He has been teaching history at Omaha Central for 22 years. He also teaches Honors US History and AP & IB American History.
Wilson was one of two finalists for the Teacher of the Year Award before he won the Award of Excellence. As part of the Teacher of the Year selection process, he was asked to present a 5 min. lesson and participate in a 90 min. interview. He did a lesson on the roles of the Omaha Central faculty and Students in WWII.
Wilson graduated from UNL with a bachelor of science degree in social science.
