“We are deeply saddened about the horrible and devastating event in Orlando over the weekend. I wanted to share with you what’s been happening with our involvement. On Sunday, we received a request to send blood to patients in Orlando and stand ready to assist further, as necessary. We will need the support of local blood donors to help replenish our supplies, especially the supply of O negative blood. As the Independence Day holiday approaches, we typically experience a shortage – so we encourage all those who are healthy and well to step up to donate blood today.”
