Streets Alive: Call For Volunteers

Streets Alive! Festival
Streets Alive! Festival

The 2018 Streets Alive! Festival will be Sunday, September 23rd from 1:00-4:30 p.m. Our day will begin with a Fun Run/Walk from 12:30-1:00pm to raise money for the Belmont Community Development Project, which supports Belmont Elementary School & Neighborhood.

The purpose of Streets Alive! is to provide an event for Lincoln and Lancaster residents of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities that promotes physical activity and healthy eating. We anticipate 4,000-5,000 participants will traverse the 1.5 mile route of city streets (closed to motorized traffic) on foot, bicycle, tricycle, stroller, skateboard, and wheelchairs to enjoy and engage with about 140+ exhibitors, entertainers, and fitness instructors.

The event would not be possible without the numerous individuals and organizations who generously volunteer their time! Volunteer opportunities are broken into 1.5-2 hour segments throughout the day and vary greatly. We appreciate people utilizing skills of photography/videography,conversation, organization, and coordination, to make the event a success. If you possess another skill you don't see listed that you think would benefit the event, or if you have any questions, please contact Ashley Carlson at 402-430-9940. We greatly appreciate you and thank you for your time!
