The 48-Hour Challenge gives you the opportunity to build a business over the weekend, meet potential team members, network with entrepreneurs in the community, and win prizes for your innovation and progress throughout the challenge. Below are five reasons why you should participate in this year's challenge.

1. Bring a business idea to life in 48 hours
After forty-eight hours of immersive teamwork, learning sessions, discovery, and more, you'll have an actionable business plan that is ready to take to market.

2. Connect with area entrepreneurs and innovators
Along with faculty and staff, you and your peers will be accompanied by area entrepreneurs and innovators throughout the weekend. They'll be available to help you work through every part of the business plan development process.

3. Learn that entrepreneurship is more than starting a business
Throughout the weekend, you will strengthen your entrepreneurial muscles by innovating, problem-solving, adapting, and working as a team – all skills in high demand no matter what career you are preparing for. The 48-Hour Challenge is an amazing experience to add to a resumé, CV or portfolio.

4. Earn 1-credit hour or register for free (all meals included!)
Choose to participate in one of two ways: (1) Enroll in ENTR 325 (Building Entrepreneurial Teams and Testing Ideas), a one credit-hour mini course with regular tuition fees charged to MyRed, or (2) registering for the experience at no charge, but receive no tuition credit.

5. Potential to win prizes
At the end of the challenge, you and your team will present your business and the progress you made to a panel of judges. Prizes are distributed to the top three teams.
