Participants in the UCARE program receive a $2,400 research stipend and experience learning with a faculty adviser on a research or creative activity project. Applications are due March 2 and must be submitted through NuRamp.
Recipients commit to 10 hours per week from September through April and present their research or creative activity at the Spring Research Fair in April 2021. Skill-building seminars on topics like graduate school preparation and professional presentation skills are offered to enhance the UCARE experience.
Students must confirm a project and faculty adviser before applying. Visit the UCARE website for full eligibility requirements and to learn more about identifying a faculty adviser or developing a research proposal.
Projects from all colleges and disciplines are highly encouraged. If you are unsure how to develop a UCARE project in your field, contact Justina Clark at jclark17@unl.edu to discuss research or creative interests.
Questions and requests for an appointment also can be sent to ucare@unl.edu or via MyPLAN with Justina Clark from the Office of Undergraduate Research.
