A UNL symposium on Emergent Quantum Materials and Technologies (EQUATE) is planned for March 26-27 at UNL’s Willa Cather Complex. The event’s agenda and announcement of speakers may be found online (link below).

The event program includes scientific presentations by renowned guest speakers from throughout the nation--as well as Nebraska experts--on quantum materials, technologies, and information processing. In addition, a poster session will engage discussion among invited speakers, postdocs, graduate and undergraduate researchers.

Nebraska’s EQUATE group includes physicists, chemists, and engineers from universities throughout the state, including UNL, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Creighton University, and the University of Nebraska-Kearney. The EQUATE event aims to gather internationally renowned experts in quantum topics for scientific dialogue.

UNL Physics Professor Christian Binek, who leads Nebraska’s EQUATE team, plans “an exchange of cutting-edge results, ideas, and developments in this rapidly evolving field.”

Funding for this EQUATE symposium is provided by UNL Office of Research and Economic Development and Nebraska EPSCoR.

Pre-registration is free and required for attendance.
