Faculty and staff are asked to encourage students to consider register for Global Experiences for-credit courses, held virtually this summer. Engineering courses include “Engineering in French Culture” and “Teamwork, Leadership and Dynamic Programming.” Registration deadline is April 1.

Through hands-on activities and coursework, students will interact with other cultures and countries without traveling abroad.

Teamwork, Leadership, and Dynamic Programming

Students will learn about common characteristics of a leader and well-functioning team, while also learning to solve problems related to their academic discipline using formulas and spreadsheets. Students will collaborate with faculty and peers from Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Jordan through virtual classroom interactions. Also covered will be topics specific to Jordan and the Middle East.

Optional Team-Based Internship: Students enrolled in the Teamwork, Leadership, and Dynamic Programming course will have the option (for an additional cost) to participate in a 4-to-5-week, team-based internship for an additional three credits of CSCE 491. Participants will work remotely and gain valuable international experience through project-based learning. Students will be placed on virtual teams with peers from across U.S. to work on consulting projects for businesses in Australia.
