Flu shots are now available at the University Health Center on City Campus for current students, faculty and staff. Because the flu and COVID-19 have similar symptoms, the Health Center highly recommends everyone get the flu vaccine this year to help prevent respiratory illness on campus.
Notes for faculty and staff members
Faculty and staff are eligible to get their flu vaccine at the University Health Center? Here are the key things they need to know:
- UNL employees must make a health center medical clinic appointment to receive a flu shot by calling 402.472.5000. They are ineligible to attend drop-in flu vaccine clinics for students.
- Flu shots have a fee for UNL employees, and we can submit the charge to private insurance. Many plans cover the cost at 100 percent.
- Employees must bring their NCard and a completed 2021-22 Flu Vaccination Form – available at https://health.unl.edu/forms/2021-22%20Flu%20Form%20Fillable.pdf – with them.
