Yang’s CAREER award helps advance work on cell-cell junctions, link to human health

A $540,000 NSF Faculty Early Career Development Program grant allows Ruiguo Yang, assistant professor of mechanical and materials engineering, to examine how cell-cell junctions respond to a wide range of strains, such as cardiac pulses, stretching of the skin and peristalsis in the gut.

Zhu, Alsaleem developing dual-sensing, monitoring system for spent nuclear fuel

Nebraska Engineering researchers Jinying Zhu and Fadi Alsaleem have received a three-year, $800,000 award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to develop a dual-sensing, health-monitoring system for a spent nuclear fuel canister.

ASABE chapter hosts Lawn Mower Clinic

Get ready for spring and your grass-cutting chores at the UNL Lawnmower Clinic, sponsored by the ASABE Student Club. Drop off your lawn mower on April 22 or 23 and pick it up April 24.
