COE Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn is Tuesday

Dear Colleagues,

The COE Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn offers lunchtime sessions where faculty and staff come together to learn about inclusive excellence. This effort is in response to one of the outcomes of the climate survey (https://engineering.unl.edu/climate-survey-report-and-recommendations/) conducted in Fall 2021: to improve the general knowledge and culture of DEI in the COE community. Since Fall 2022, the series covered topics such as bias, allyship, identity, privilege, covering, DEI at UNL, UNL/UNO student accessibility services, faculty and staff disability support, and an Ouch training! More than 250 faculty and staff participated in the past sessions.

Our first Spring 2024 Inclusive Excellence Lunch session will be held on Feb. 27, from noon to 1 p.m. We are thrilled to have Pat Tetreault, director of Gender and Sexuality Center at UNL, to give us a talk about LGBTAQ+ 101.

The session will be conducted as a hybrid event, connecting City Campus and Scott Campus, as well as being accessible via Zoom. Please take note that we have a new location on City Campus (NH 175) to accommodate more attendees. If you missed the RSVP deadline, you are still welcome to join us with your own lunch or through Zoom using this link: https://go.unl.edu/deilunch

Time: Tuesday Feb. 27, noon-1 p.m.
In-Person Location: NH 175 & 100A PKI
