DLR Design Charrette - COE Faculty

Help design the college’s future space and building needs!

DLR GROUP CHARRETTE – for College of Engineering Faculty
Thursday, May 5, 2016 / Olsson Room (Engineering Library)
10 a.m. – Noon

LB 956, which was recently passed by the state legislature and approved by the Governor, includes deferred maintenance funding for engineering and education/human sciences. We anticipate receiving approximately $70 million to upgrade our engineering facilities, as well as for new construction. We are now beginning a major campaign to raise additional funds for the new building and other renovations.

As part of this process, we have hired DLR Group to conduct the project planning. The next step is for our faculty, staff and students to help us define the college’s future space and building needs. http://www.dlrgroup.com/home/

DLR is hosting a design meeting (charrette) for faculty on Thursday, May 5 from 10 a.m. – Noon in the Olsson Room in the Engineering Library (2nd floor, Nebraska Hall). The idea is for DLR to lead us through activities to solicit and extract your needs and wishes for a new facility. This is a tremendous opportunity, so please join us.

We encourage you to attend the full meeting; if you have limited time, please attend as much as you can.

Additional charrettes will be scheduled for faculty, staff and students.
