In the College of Engineering, we are currently preparing for the ABET visit, which is scheduled for Sept. 24-28, 2017.

During the visit, ABET Commissions, including the Team Chairs (TCs) and Program Evaluators (PEVs), are scheduled to visit our programs on both City Campus and Scott Campus. We spent much of last year preparing the self-study reports, which we submitted to ABET this summer.

Every six years, the undergraduate engineering programs must undergo reaccreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC). This year, in addition to EAC, we are seeking initial accreditation of our Construction Management program by the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of ABET.

As part of the visit, the ABET teams have expressed interest in meeting with departments throughout the college, as well as other areas related to engineering like Student Services, Library facilities, etc. On behalf of the COE, I appreciate your cooperation during this visit.
