Sixteen university faculty, staff, advisory board members and students have been appointed by Donde Plowman, executive vice chancellor and chief financial officer, to the search committee that will find the finalists for the next dean of the College of Engineering.
In July 2016, Lance C. Pérez became interim dean on a three-year appointment.
According to an email sent out by Plowman on Feb. 5, the committee began work last week and will “engage in active recruiting for as long as it takes to develop a rich and diverse applicant pool.”
Plowman set a timeline for the search that includes on-campus interviews in April and having the next dean in place by the start of the 2018-19 academic year.
