Do you have interest in entrepreneurship using engineering skills? Then join NUtech Ventures for the Engineering Pitch Challenge, which includes a pitch workshop and competition, beginning with a required kick-off Oct. 22 from 5-8 p.m. in SEC 237.
The Engineering Pitch Challenge will be a combined workshop and pitch contest directed towards students (undergraduate and graduate), staff, postdocs, and faculty from the College of Engineering. The event structure begins with a business model and pitch basics workshop the first night and a pitch contest six weeks later.
In between, there will be several optional sessions where participants can receive feedback and additional training from mentors. The workshop portion of the event will teach participants to identify value propositions and markets for a solution to an engineering problem. Attention will also be given to the fundamentals of pitching an idea to the business community.
Awards will be given to incentivize participation and further development of ideas.
