HUMAN RESOURCES UPDATE: Familiar faces in new roles

After one year in a temporary role managing the college’s major facilities projects, Kim Wilson is now special assistant to the dean. A professor of landscape architecture, she will continue to oversee the building projects and lead the college’s efforts to develop a comprehensive external engagement strategy.

In late June, Engineering Student Services announced some staff changes and staff additions:

*Nicole Franta has assumed a new role as assistant director of advising on Scott Campus. She will advise students in the pre-programs (including mechanical, biological systems and agricultural engineering) and lead the new Pathway for Engineering Achievement and Knowledge program.
*Paul Breitkreutz joined the ESS team as coordinator of retention and student success. Previously, he served as senior data analyst for the college.
*Felix Cortes is the recruitment coordinator on City Campus. Cortes previously worked in the UNL Office of Admissions.
*Robia Qasimyar is career services coordinator on Scott Campus. She previously worked with the Goodrich Scholarship Program at UNO.
*Elizabeth Gadberry and Grace Clark are academic advisors on City Campus. Gadberry has a master of science in college counseling from South Dakota State University. Clark, who has a master of science in higher education administration, was graduate academic advisor at the University of Kansas School of Engineering.

Heidi Krier has joined the Dean’s Office as an administrative coordinator and is working with the human resources team. She previously was part of the administrative team in mechanical and materials engineering.
