EBCT: Call for Art
EBCT: Call for Art

Calling all artists, musicians, poets, and creatives for submissions! EBCT is in search of perspectives on how tech relates to humanity, society, ethics, art, individuals.

The Ethics and Broader Considerations of Technology Conference is hosting a First Friday Showcase at The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts on Friday Nov. 1 from 5-9 p.m.

Submission Deadline: October 25

Technology is no longer just a developer’s matter; it is a social issue that we must all become and stay informed about. The Ethics and Broader Considerations of Technology (EBCT) Conference is a regional conference aimed at fostering thoughtful and truly interdisciplinary conversations about the ethical considerations of emerging technologies. Through EBCT 2019, we seek to develop the ethical technology advocate community in the heart of Silicon Prairie and prepare the Midwest to be a leader in guiding the responsible developments of technology for the future.

Through intentional dialogue we will be able to paint a more nuanced and accurate picture of technology and how it impacts our lives by including voices from regional academics, students from a broad range of education levels and areas of study, industry members, and the general public. Together we can begin taking steps towards addressing the challenges we are facing and will continue to face as new disruptive technologies continue to emerge.
