The Department of Chemistry is hiring a part-time student worker to develop and manage its main and affiliated webpages.

Position: Webpage Student Worker

Department: Chemistry

Salary: $10/Hour

Hours: This position is no more than 15 hours per week. Flexible schedule.

Description: In this role you will gain hands on experience in day-to-day maintenance of the Department of Chemistry and its affiliate’s webpages. This will involve update and upkeep of existing sites. It will also include developing new websites from the ground up. This role will be a part of the departments webpage committee and will take part in the planning and overall direction of the department’s web presence. Depending on experience, this position will also involve taking part in the creation of department marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and social media content.

Must be creative, able to work independently and alongside our team to brainstorm inventive ways to promote the department. Additional duties will be based upon your skillset and goals professionally. Other tasks as assigned by the departmental office may be involved. This position for the student worker is flexible around course schedules, with preference for working 10-15 hours a week.

Required Qualifications:

· Full-time student at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in good academic standing

· Knowledge with HTML, WordPress, and other web platforms (previous experience preferred)

· Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

· Strong portfolio of web and graphic design

· Excellent organizational, writing, editing, and communication skills
