Computer Science and Engineering Ph.D. graduate Fujuan Guo has accepted a new position at Qualcomm, a company that designs and markets wireless telecommunications products and services.

Guo defended her dissertation, "On the Interactive Behavior of Wireless Communication with The Physical World," in December. Her advisor was Susan J. Rosowski professor Mehmet Can Vuran, whom she said helped prepare her well for her new role.

“Dr. Vuran’s research was very interesting to me,” Guo said. “He was very knowledgeable, professional, and gave me a lot of guidance. We would always have very good discussions. He would have very good ideas, and I would implement those ideas. I really appreciated my advisor. He’s an expert in the wireless networks.”

Guo said she’s looking forward to continue research in the field of research that excites her most.

“I’m very interested in wireless communication and networks, which is why I selected Qualcomm,” Guo said. “I’ll still be working on what I learned previously. The work exactly matches my schooling. That background will help me build a great future career, I think.”

Congratulations to Fujuan Guo on this exciting next chapter in her career!
