The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Plant Pathology is seeking a responsible and organized team player to fill the position of part-time Website/IT Support Associate. This position will be responsible for updating and maintaining the department’s website and assisting with any technology needs. Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (maximum of 15 hours/week) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pay will be $10-12/hour depending on experience and education.
Minimum Required Qualifications
· Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
· Experience using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and MySQL
· Experience developing web logic using an coding language (preferably PHP)
· Problem solving skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with specific deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software package
· Experience creating and editing pages through CMS
· Knowledge regarding the UNL.edu web framework
