Dr. Jeffrey Stevens (Department of Psychology, Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior) is looking for an undergraduate research assistant to help program a touchscreen interface for a dog cognition experiment (Canine Cognition and Human Interaction Laboratory: https://dogcog.unl.edu).

This project involves working with a current undergraduate assistant to (1) adjust and optimize existing Python code to interface with new touchscreens and (2) develop new Python code for further experiments.

This project will start immediately and continue into the summer with about 10-15 hours per week. Experience programming in Python is required, and experience with Git and GitHub is preferred. Hours are flexible and working remotely is fine.

The lab prioritizes an inclusive working environment that respects diverse perspectives and fosters opportunities for underrepresented students to participate in science.

If interested in this position, please contact Dr. Stevens at jstevens5@unl.edu as soon as possible, preferably by March 25.
