Description
The College of Engineering Dean’s Leaders will serve as an integral part of the Recruitment
Team in working with prospective students, families and other distinguished guests in multiple different facets. Dean’s Leaders will assist with virtual sessions, on campus events (Husker Weekday visits and Red Letter Days), postcard writing, calling campaigns and other events.

Required Qualifications
• Be enrolled as a University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate engineering student
• Be in a good standing academically, with a preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Show involvement within the College of Engineering and University
• Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrate leadership potential

Responsibilities and Expectations
• Meet with prospective students, families and other guest to share personal insight on
student experiences within the College of Engineering
• Lead tours of the engineering buildings
• Increase positive public relations for the College of Engineering
• Assist in recruiting students through campus and outreach events
• Represent the College of Engineering on campus and in the community at events
• Participate in postcard writing and calling campaigns to prospective students
throughout the fall and spring semesters
• Attend beginning of the year training and monthly meetings
• Maintain regular contact with College of Engineering Recruitment Coordinator
Compensation

Dean’s Leaders will receive $11.00 per hour and work and average of 5-15 hours per week.

Dean’s Leaders have weekly office hours that are set at the beginning of each semester. We
offer a flexible schedule to accommodate involvement and other events.
