The College of Information Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate.
We seek to fill the postdoc position ASAP for our funded research project focused on "bridge infrastructure health." The postdoctoral research associate position will be for a period of 1 year, with the possibility for 1 to 2 more years of funded research work. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. As a postdoctoral research associate you will conduct research for 40 hours/week and supervise PhD, MS and undergraduate students as needed.
About the research project: Using rural Nebraska bridges as full-scale "testbeds" we are conducting research and development on relating to data collection at the edge using internet of things including sensors, UAVs and more; secure data processing and management from the edge to the cloud; simulations visualizations and analytics of data using machine learning; sociotechnical impacts (perceived fairness of AI systems); and decision support systems.
