The 17th Annual MWAIS Conference will be held in person on May 16-17, 2022. Sponsored by the AIS MWAIS chapter, the conference is hosted by the University of Nebraska Omaha's College of Information Science & Technology.
Conference leaders would like to express appreciation for the support from the event sponsors: First National Bank of Omaha, Berkshire Hathaway NICO, Gallup, Creighton University Heider School of Business, Omaha Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Prospect Press.
The conference is open for registration! Please consider attending this regional conference as a delegate. An amazing program for conference delegates is in the process of being finalized. It is also a great professional development activity for teachers, university academics, and business/technology managers alike.
1. On the conference website, there is an outline of the conference program starting with a pre-conference reception on the evening of May 15, sponsored by the Omaha Visitors Bureau and our corporate partners, the all-day conference on the 16th, a welcome reception and dinner at Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, and a second day of activity on the 17th. A number of papers on emerging topics in information systems/technology will be presented. We will bus all delegates and their guests to the Zoo.
2. In addition to the accepted submissions, we have two special panel discussions scheduled: a Senior Scholars Panel on the 17th with senior professors from around the Midwest and a CXO/CIO industry panel consisting of stalwarts from Omaha companies will be held on the 16th. Additionally, the President-elect of AIS and an industry keynote is also part of the conference program. Click on the "Attendee" menu on the MWAIS 2022 website for information about the conference venue, hotel and program information.
3. If you are coming from out of town, you can book your hotel accommodations soon! We have guaranteed room blocks at two hotels across the street from the conference center with specially negotiated rates that are valid till April 17, 2022.
