HCC offering workshops on Thursdays in June

The Holland Computing Center
The Holland Computing Center

Every Thursday afternoon for the last four weeks of June (June 8, 15, 22, and 29), the Holland Computing Center (HCC) is offering a series of weekly workshops. These workshops will cover the basics of using HCC clusters and an overview of our other resources.

These workshops are ideal for individuals new to Holland resources or who are interested in using high-performance computing resources but don't know how to start.

We will also have two special topics during this workshop series:
June 22nd: How to migrate data and workflows from Crane to Swan
June 29th: Guest Lecturer: Introduction to running machine learning workflows on HCC resources

This year, the workshops will be delivered in a hybrid manner, remotely via Zoom and on UNL's City Campus. Because of the hands-on aspect of the workshops, the number of registrations will be limited. Please register for only the sessions you are interested in and available to attend.

Dates: June 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: 12:30–5 PM
Cost: Free!
Where: Delivered Remotely via Zoom and Brace Lab 105 on UNL City Campus

Agenda:
June 8th: Connecting to HCC Clusters and Introduction to Bash
June 15th: Introduction to Bash (cont.), Introduction to HCC, Submitting Jobs, and Handling Data at HCC
