December 9-15 is ACM’s CSEdWeek. This week is dedicated to the importance of computer science. As part of the week’s events, ACM has coordinated an Hour of Code. This aims to introduce more than 10 million students of all ages to the basics of coding, and to underscore the critical role of computing in all careers. Hour of code is intended to demystify computing for people, according to the ACM website.
