Technovation, according to their website, is the largest and longest running global technology competition exclusively for girls to inspire the pursuit of science, technology, engineering and math.
Technovation is looking for women and girls to participate in a free global technology and entrepreneurship program.
Through Technovation, women and girls from all over the world identify and solve problems in their communities by developing mobile app prototypes and business plans. They work in collaboration with local or long-distance mentors to research, design, code and pitch their apps to prospective investors. In addition to the high school division, the middle school and university divisions have been launched this year.
Here’s how to join Technovation:
1.Volunteer and mentor a high school or middle school team of 3-5 girls.
2.Participate in the university division and get the chance to pitch your idea to potential investors. The winning team of the university division will win $5,000
