Here is your chance to compete against upwards of 250 college teams over a 7 state/ 2 province region for an invitation to the ICPC World Finals in Morocco! During a 14 year stretch, UNL sent teams on to the Finals 8 times, you could be part of the next team to represent UNL on the international stage. See http://ncna-region.unl.edu for complete details of the ACM North Central North America Regional Programming Contest which will be held here at UNL and simultaneously at 15 additional sites on Saturday, November 8.
However, before you can compete in the Regional Contest, we have the UNL Local Programming Contest on Sunday afternoon, October 12. We do have practices over the coming weeks for anyone from brand new freshmen programming for the first time all the way up to seniors and even first year graduate students. By coming to these practices you get the opportunity to meet other students interested in programming. You get to solve problems and put your programming skills to work. You get to learn to do new things with programming. You are encouraged to come to these practices if you are at all interested in the contest.
If you are interested in participating or finding out more about this opportunity (or you would just like the additional experience with programming), you can attend any of our practices:
*Every Wednesday: 6:30-8:30 pm in room 20
*1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th Friday: 6:30-8:30 pm in the basement of Avery
(Algorithms and solving complex problems)
