Many people know that computer science is a top paying college degree and computer programming jobs are growing at 2x the national average. But what is lesser known is that Nebraska is one of 26 states where students can't count computer science classes for credit towards high school graduation. There has been a petition created to achieve policy changes in the Nebraska education system regarding computer science education. Current supporters of this petition believe that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science and computer science classes should count towards graduation credits. The petition can be found at http://code.org/promote/ne.
