Three UNL CSE professors and one instructor have been nominated by their students to receive UNL Parents Association Awards. Prof. Chris Bourke has now, including this year, won the award twice; Prof. Mohammad Hasan has only been a professor at UNL one year and won it; Venkat Sai Suman Lamba Karanam, though not a professor, has won it this year for the first time; and Prof. Charles Riedesel has now won it seven times.

The Award has been in place for twenty-seven years. The Parents Association solicits UNL students' parents, who then talk to their children and nominate a faculty or staff member who has "made a significant contribution to their lives while at UNL."

Bourke, Hasan, Karanam, and Riedesel have done exemplary work in the Computer Science and Engineering department and are rightly being congratulated for it.
