Next week (Sept. 21-25) is Academic Integrity Week! Below are some of the events that will be taking place.

Career Planning with Integrity: Using Social Networks (Monday, Sept. 21). Learn how to promote yourself with accuracy and integrity online! Bring your laptop and build your online presence in this hands-on workshop.

The Use of Social Media in Human Subjects Research (Monday, Sept. 21) Find out about recent psychology experiments that used social media—and not always with the test subjects’ consent. Discuss the ethical questions at stake and learn how to make your upcoming studies compliant with research standards.

Bystander Intervention Training (Tuesday, Sept. 22) Find out how to take action in uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situations. Learn techniques to help deal with harassment, inappropriate language, or jokes in both professional and personal settings.

Understanding U.S. Academic Integrity for International Students (Thursday, Sept. 24). Review American citation expectations and discuss how to manage cultural differences regarding academic work.
