The 7th annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference will be held at the CenturyLink Center Omaha (formerly the Qwest Center) on Tuesday, September 27, 2011.

The 7th annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference will focus on advances in Information Sciences, a field that has contributed to rapid changes in almost every sector of modern life, from communications to transportation, health care and the military. This conference brings business leaders, policy makers, researchers and students together to hear distinguished speakers, learn about the latest technologies, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.
The conference includes:
-A morning plenary session with keynotes from Dr. Jacqueline Henningsen, of the U.S. Air Force, and Lynden Tennison, Union Pacific on the capabilities, challenges and opportunities afforded by Information Sciences.
-A panel discussion on "Business Model Innovations in Information Technology" moderated by Dr. Steve Goddard, UNL, with Paul Eurek, CEO of Xpanxion; Joe Petsick, CFO of Proxibid; and Matthew Wegener, President and CEO of ISoft Data Systems.
-Talks by Governor Dave Heineman, University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken, and Congressman Lee Terry.
-Five parallel tracks with presentations from researchers and industry professionals on advances in bioinformatics, cybersecurity/information assurance, modeling & simulation, software engineering, and sustainable environments.
-A poster session given by faculty, post-docs, graduate students and undergrads.
-Displays from Nebraska industry.
Undergraduate and Graduate students, Postdocs and Faculty are encouraged to display a poster, regardless of STEM area.
There is NO cost to attend, but registration is required.

Once you register for the conference, you are asked whether you'd like to register a poster as well - you can either register the poster at that time (you will need your title and abstract), or you can register a poster later from a link in your confirmation email.
