Mid-Semester Check is a valuable event for all first-year and entering transfer students at UNL. It is an opportunity to review your academic progress and gain tips to wrap up the semester on a high note. The remaining sessions are today and tomorrow, either 6:00-7:30 p.m. or 7:00-8:30 p.m. each night in the Nebraska Union, 1400 “R” St. Students need only attend one session.
"Okay, what’s in it for me?"
Mid-Semester Check attendees tend to perform better academically than those who do not attend. The event encourages campus engagement and provides students with the guidance of experienced professors.
Each session will begin with a brief introduction with tips on how to be successful at UNL, and then you will have 40 minutes to attend your choice of presentations. All presentations are to-the-point and relevant to students, both in and outside of CSE:

• Time Management 101
• Financial Planning
• Preparing for Professional Schools
• The Big Paper
• Finding a Major Right for Me
• Finding Success in the Large Classroom
The event will end with refreshments and Check Out, when students’ N-Cards will be scanned and a list of attendees will be sent to your college's Dean's Office.
