On Saturday, Oct. 29, the ACM Regional Programming Contest was held in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This is the fourth year that the University of Nebraska–Lincoln has hosted the regional contest. CSE has also hosted and competed in the local contest for 42 years.

The event drew 35 teams—about 150 people—from all parts of the upper Midwest. The 5-hour contest was followed by a banquet and awards ceremony.

Dr. Justin Bradley, the site director, would like to express gratitude to the 60 volunteers and judges that made the event a success. The contest was an exciting opportunity for the university, in particular the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, to showcase its computing program.
