Cargill and the Institute of International Education (IIE) are pleased to announce the launch of the 2016-2017 Cargill Global Scholars Program application cycle. Two University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were selected as scholars for the 2016 U.S. cohort.
Cargill encourages students of many majors—including computer science and engineering—to submit applications for this year’s competition. Cargill is seeking students who:
• Are in their freshman or sophomore year of undergraduate studies
• Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential
Ten scholars will be chosen in the United States for the fifth cohort of the Cargill Global Scholars Program. The scholars will receive:
• Annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years
• Fully funded travel and participation to attend two Leadership Development Seminars held during Summer 2017 and Summer 2018
• In-person networking with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia
• One-on-one mentorship from Cargill executives in the United States and abroad
