Join the Operating Systems and Open Source Group this Friday, Aug. 25, for celebrate Linux's 26th birthday. The event will take place from 5-9 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the City Campus Union. Free food will be provided.
This event is open to people with all levels of familiarity with Linux, and is a fantastic learning opportunity. There will be a presentation on the history of Linux, demos of several distributions, and club members will be available to answer your questions.
The group will also be playing open source video games. Please bring a laptop if you wish to participate. The group also recommends bringing a long Ethernet cord for connecting to our high-speed switch instead of wi-fi.
