UNL will participate in NIST's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program. The program will take place at their Boulder, Colorado campus from May 21st until August 3rd. The program offers federally-sponsored research opportunities for students pursuing degrees in science, mathematics, and engineering.
Eighteen spots will be available. Students will be matched to opportunities according to preference and research interest. Offers will be made in late February and must be accepted or declined within 7 days of the offer.
The program is open to students in Chemical Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Materials Science and Engineering, and Physics. Boulder applicants will be matched to Quantum Electronics and Photonics, Electomagnetics, Materials Reliability, Thermophysical Properties, Time and Frequency, and Applied and Computational Mathematics divisions. Please note area of interest when applying.
