The Colloquium Series will host Zach McClain, Solutions Engineer at Sprint, on Thursday, February 2, 2012. He will be discussing Innovating in a Connected World: Industry Best Practices for Developing Machine-to-Machine Technologies. A reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. in 348 Avery Hall, followed by the talk at 4 p.m. in 115 Avery Hall. Sprint will be raffling off a bluetooth headset for undergraduates in attendance.
Focus will lie on M2M strategies in the telecommunications industry and how Sprint technologies enable new forms of machine-to-machine communication. There we will have an open forum for discussing ways these technologies can be utilized for innovative project and research development.
Zach McLain has 15 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry. In the last 8 years, he has been with Sprint as a Solution Engineer. McLain is responsible for helping customers develop highly technical solutions that provide strong ROI and enhance efficiencies in their business. He is an expert in the area of wireless communications, M2M solutions, wide-area networking, and convergence technologies.
