The UNL Game Development Club competed in Kansas State University’s fifth annual Game Jam competition this past weekend, Feb. 8-10.

The goal of the competition was to develop a video game (in teams of up to 4) based on a given theme in 48 hours. This year’s theme was “Left Behind.”

Eleven CSE students competed in the competition. One team was awarded Best Original Music for their game “Day at the Museum.” Team members included Jaden Goter, Michael Kovar, Grant Davis, and Zach Randolph. Other games included “Wooded,” created by Casey Lafferty, Daniel Schur, and Ian Meister, and “The Cursed Shadow,” created by Molly Lee, Nick Lehnert, Mike Senior, and Sifat Syed.

All three games and more games from the competition can be found on the K-State Game Jam's itch.io page at https://itch.io/jam/kansas-state-university-annual-game-jam-2019/entries and the most recent versions of some of the UNL teams' games can be found on the UNL Game Dev Club's GitHub page: https://github.com/UNL-Game-Dev-Club.
