The CSE mentor program is an initiative of the CSE Undergraduate Student Advisory Board. It is proposed to help connect new CSE students to current students in the CSE department.
The program helps foster community by increasing engagement of students, forging stronger ties between students and different organizations, and creating a support system for mentees. Mentors provide support to mentees as they transition into the CSE department. Each mentor will be responsible for two to five students. This program will focus on community development in the undergraduate programs of CSE.
Mentors are expected have taken CSCE 155/SOFT 160, CSCE 156/SOFT 161, and CSCE 235. You should expect an email during August with information for your first and second meeting.
