Invitation for UNL Students to Participate in Summer Engineering Program

The College of Engineering at the University of North Texas has extended an invitation to UNL students to attend their Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research (SUPER). The program is open to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Materials Science and Engineering.

Students will work with a faculty mentor and can choose among the following areas of research: bioinformatics, characterization and testing of piezoelectric materials and devices, computer architecture, memory systems, parallel processing, development and testing of advanced polymer based materials and composites, embedded computing, low power VLSI design, and microwave and antennas.

The program will last 8 weeks, from June 2nd until July 28th at the university's Discovery Park. Students will be given office space and access to all research facilities. Room and board and a stipend of $3,500 will be provided.

Students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and should have completed two years of study in Computer Science or Engineering. Applicants' graduation date should be Spring 2013 or later.
