Youcubed announced the launch of a website for a new high school course, Explorations in Data Science: Youcubed Adaptable Curriculum. This full-year, project-based course has already gotten enthusiastic reviews from teachers across the US who piloted it this spring. The course has received A-G approval in California, so it can be taken as an alternative to Algebra 2, or in addition to Algebra 2.
The course is free for anyone use – either the whole curriculum, or units. Youcubed has intentionally designed the course based on free online tools, such as Google Sheets, so that it is accessible to everyone. They hope you will explore the site, which currently includes the first three units of the course, and give your feedback! Unit 4 will be added to the site in coming weeks and Units 5-8 will be available on the site in the fall.
