Math teachers earn master's degrees

Ten Nebraska teachers earned master's degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in August 2012, in part as a result of their participation in NebraskaMATH or the Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes.

Secondary teachers who earned a Master of Arts for Teachers (MAT) from the Department of Mathematics are: Tony Hoffman, Crofton High School; Tahma Kuck, Ord Jr/Sr High School; Julie Lodes, Springfield Platteview High School; Jeremy Long, Westside High School; Jared Vitosh, Norris High School; and Amber Vlasnik, Lincoln High School.

Four elementary teachers also earned Master of Arts degrees from the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education: Kelli Anderson, Campbell Elementary in Lincoln; Megan Fleischman, Kloefkorn Elementary in Lincoln; Lisa Mason-D'Croz, Elliott Elementary in Lincoln; and Meredith Whiley, Liberty Elementary in Omaha.
