Nebraska mathematics teachers earn Presidential Award for Excellence

Four Nebraska mathematics teachers have been selected by the White House as recipients of the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). The following educators were recognized as Nebraska's honorees in the Mathematics award category.

  • 2021 Awardee (7-12): Joan Ebel, Columbus Middle School, Columbus
  • 2022 Awardees (K-6): Andrew Boone, Harvest Hills Elementary School, Gretna, and Amy Kinnett, Meadow Lane Elementary School, Lincoln
  • 2023 Awardee (7-12): Arnold Talero, Norris Public School, Firth
This significant achievement highlights exceptional contributions to the teaching profession and impactful work in the field of mathematics.
