Now available: The Toolkit to Support Evidence-Based Algebra Instruction in Middle and High School.
This toolkit was developed by Regional Educational Laboratory Central in collaboration with Lincoln Public Schools. This resource is designed to help educators implement evidence-based recommendations outlined in the What Works Clearinghouse Teaching Strategies for Improving Algebra Knowledge in Middle and High School Students practice guide. The goal of the toolkit is for inclusion into classroom practice and for use in professional learning communities. The toolkit includes:
- A four-module course with facilitator and participant guides, videos, and classroom-ready activities. They will guide educators through a Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle.
- Tools to assess implementation and student impact, including educator self-assessments, student surveys, and knowledge checks.
- Resources for school leaders to support and sustain instructional change.
Together, these resources help teachers strengthen algebra instruction to improve student outcomes.
