Recruiting X-DBER Discussion Facilitators and Talk Hosts

The UNL DBER community will be hosting a cross-disciplinary conference March 1 to March 3, held virtually. There are 5 thematic areas, with 3 concurrent sessions of talks within each area, and more than 450 people registered from all STEM disciplines (https://scimath.unl.edu/x-dber/2021/).

The conference organizers need UNL faculty, postdocs, and graduate students to host concurrent talk sessions and then facilitate group discussions following the concurrent sessions.

For the concurrent talks, we are in need of moderators and facilitators. The duties for each role can be found at the bottom of this linked Google Sheet. To sign up for a session, please type your name and email address into this sheet (in a yellow or orange cell): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FZ8-Ez0AEEhfHOg1AchpbDydwP8d9l5r/view?usp=sharing

For discussion sessions, you will be provided with question prompts and your objective is to keep the conversation going (and participate if you like). It is helpful, but not required, to attend some of the talks before these group discussions. Please indicate your availability to support this conference as a discussion facilitator in this: Doodle poll:
